a note from maggie
Dear friend,
My name is Maggie and I am glad you’re here. I’ve been working with women since I was in college. I’ve always loved hearing people’s stories. What is your story? How did that impact you? Now I’ve gotten to do that for the past decade as a career. It’s just a dream come true.
I’m realizing another dream. Teaching. It’s always been a love of mine. Especially the Word of God. Since I was 15 years old I’ve loved it. I remember reading the New Testament and thinking, wow, this is me, this is what I struggle with and what I need. So applicable. So relevant. I remember teaching high school girls about Him when I was in college and the sweetness of that time with them. I remember women’s events I led when my husband was pastor of a site of a megachurch here in Orlando. I think of small groups I’ve led as a therapist and talks I’ve given to women in so many different contexts. When I teach or counsel, I feel in sync with what He made me for. You can find that purpose and passion too. It won’t be the same as mine but it will be GOOD. I want to help you get there.
As l dove into psychology and the art of counseling through my studies at Reformed Theological Seminary, I realized the two fit seamlessly together. Our stories matter. Our experiences matter. In fact, it’s how He gets our attention. When I look back over my life, all the suffering, all the details, all the provision…I see His faithfulness working behind the scenes causing all things to work together for good.
He has more for us. He has more for you. There is more.
How about we come back to His more, together.
I invite you into the conversation. Into the journey back to who you were made to be in Christ. Back to the Father who knows you intimately. He doesn’t want a version of you He wants you. All of you. The good and the bad. We’ve got to know it in order to surrender it. This is my experience and this is what I offer to you for your encouragement and comfort.
I’m just a fellow pilgrim with both professional and personal experiences I want to share with you. No matter where you are on the journey there’s more.
Here we go!
Further in and farther on into our destinies realized only in Jesus.
Can’t wait to meet you!
See you soon,
Maggie

" Therapy allowed me to find a safe place to be honest with myself. I grew up in a culture where women are expected to put others needs over their own. Maggie provided a relationship where I felt safe and I could share my true feelings. I began the process of being more true to myself, instead of striving to do what others expected of me. "

"I got to a point in life where I decided that if I was going to be alive I had to learn to live. Maggie has helped me walk through layers of fear, lies, wrong thinking, broken relationships, poor coping skills, and physical health concerns. As I continue to move toward health, I am getting to know myself and building a life of flourishing with the Lord."

"I first met Maggie when she was in graduate school at Reformed Theological Seminary, and I was immediately struck by her honesty, openness, and genuine care for the people she counseled. Over the past decade, I’ve watched her grow into a wise and compassionate counselor who lives out her faith with authenticity. Those who hear her will be encouraged and blessed by her engaging teaching and healing message."

"Therapy was not an easy decision, even when it was necessary for me! I was more broken than I could imagine. That time period taught me that I couldn't pretend everything was perfect anymore. In the imperfect, I found a voice toshare my story ... my experience... I made it through from failing to surviving to thriving because of God and Maggie! "

Through her guidance, I’ve discovered my true identity in Christ, allowing me to break free from the constraints of my trauma. Maggie's support has been invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve shared."

"If you are looking for a person to always be there for you, always forgive you, always have the right things to say, and never give up on you then look no further than my mom, Maggie Jobson. She has guided me through all the good and bad throughout my life and is a rock I know I can always lean on."
— Matt Jobson, Maggie’s son

" After struggling with anxiety from different life challenges, I was referred to Maggie and I knew I found my "person"! Nobody compared to my experience with her. She is so real, humble, and easy to talk to—never judgmental or “preachy.” She meets you right where you are, with kindness and honesty, and somehow makes the hard things feel lighter. Over time I saw how her own story and her steady trust in God made her guidance even more relatable and impactful. She helped me find peace again and reconnect with my faith in a way I didn’t think was possible. I can go on and on but Maggie helped me find ME again!"
